Clarence Clarity unveils UK headline tour plans and demented visuals for new single
Weird-funk eidolon Clarence Clarity has unshackled his new visuals for NO NOW teaser "Meadow Hopping, Traffic Stopping, Death Splash", and announced a UK headline tour for April.
The video's been directed by Weirdcore (Aphex Twin, M.I.A.). Using Clarity's bizarre fusion of dank, sleazy underground disco and tortured electro, Weirdcore crafts a lo-fi CGI imagery that blends Rocky Horror Picture Show visions with lip-snakes, glitter, religious scrawls and melted celebrity delusions. As with all that Clarity puts his twisted fingers to, it's equal parts fantastic, fascinating, harrowing and hilarious.
The cooing belly buttons are particularly galling.
NO NOW will be released on 2 March through Bella Union.
