CinemaCon attendees treated to first look at Taylor Swift in David O. Russell's new film Amsterdam
According to reports, those who attended CinemaCon yesterday (27 April) were given a first look at Taylor Swift in David O. Russell's forthcoming film Amsterdam.
Last summer it was reported that Swift would appear in David O. Russell's upcoming film starring Margot Robbie, Christian Bale, Anya Taylor-Joy, Robert De Niro, Mike Myers, Rami Malek, Chris Rock and more, and yesterday (27 April) those who attended CinemaCon were given a first look at the film, which is called Amsterdam.
According to Variety, the preview of Amsterdam gave attendees a first look at Swift in her role, and saw her crying and mourning by her father's body as Chris Rock's character says, "You have a dead white man in a box. It’s not even a coffin, it has no lid. You know who’s going to get in trouble? The Black men."
On IMDb, the Amsterdam synopsis reads: "Set in the '30s, it follows three friends who witness a murder, become suspects themselves, and uncover one of the most outrageous plots in American history."
Amsterdam will be Swift's first acting role since appearing as Bombalurina in the 2019 remake of Cats.
