Chvrches are set to star in a new Archies comic series
Synthpop trio Chvrches are set to be immortalised in the pages of a brand new Archie comic book series.
MTV News report that the Scottish group are set to making a brief appearance in issue #2 and then taking a starring role in issue #3 - they'll be the first real band to appear in The Archies.
The story sees the classic characters heading out on tour and learning what life is like on the road, with the members of Chvrches shwoing up to offer advice.
"What is Veronica like when she hasn't slept? What is Jughead like when all he can eat is the stuff at a gas station?" says writer Matthew Rosenberg. "Taking them out of their elements is really key. That plays a lot into their roles in the band and who they are."
"One of the first bands Matt and I thought of was Chvrches just because they’ve got such a modern, fun vibe and we’re both fans of the music," says writer Alex Segura.
