Chromatics' Ruth Radelet releases cover of Elliott Smith's "Twilight"
Ruth Radelet, former vocalist of Chromatics, has shared a solo cover of Elliott Smith's "Twilight" as part of Kill Rock Stars' 30th anniversary cover series.
Radelet's cover of Smith's "Twilight" marks her first solo outing since announcing the end of Chromatics in August alongside Adam Miller and Nat Walker.
The cover is released as part of Kill Rock Stars' 30th anniversary cover series.
According to Pitchfork, Radelet said in a press release, "Growing up in Portland, I couldn’t help but be influenced by Elliott Smith - his music was just in the water there. I still feel a sort of homesick nostalgia every time I hear one of his songs, and I’ll forever associate his music with the rainy weather and the gritty, small town feeling Portland had back then."
