Christine and the Queens covers George Michael's "Freedom" on new EP Joseph
Christine and the Queens surprise-released a new two-track EP titled Joseph over the weekend following her performance at Global Citizen Live in Paris, and it includes a cover of George Michael's "Freedom".
The new two-track EP, Joseph, is Christine and the Queens' first outing of 2021, and follows her appearance on a reworked version of Indochine's "3SEX" last November.
It includes a cover of George Michael's "Freedom" and another song titled "Comme l'oiseau", a rework of a 1972 Michel Fugain song.
Christine and the Queens' "Freedom" cover was debuted at Saturday's (25 September) Global Citizen Live event in Paris.
Joseph is the first EP from Christine and the Queens since last year's surprise EP La vita nuova.
Last week fans got hyped over a potential collaboration between Charli XCX, Christine and the Queens and Caroline Polachek after an image was shared of the three artists filming what looked like a music video.
