Christian Lee Hutson reveals Phoebe Bridgers-produced new track "Northsiders"
Christian Lee Hutson has shared new single "Northsiders", the first from his upcoming album produced by frequent collaborator Phoebe Bridgers.
Hutson's new body of work is Bridgers' first producing project. The two have worked together multiple times, with Hutson having co-wrote songs for her Better Oblivion Community Center project with Conor Oberst, and her boygenius project with Julien Baker and Lucy Dacus.
On his new single, Hutson explained, ""Northsiders" is sort of a collage of memories I have of several different friends from high school. I think it’s about the friendships you develop that make you feel seen and understood at that time in your life where you feel invisible and misunderstood".
Although there's not many details on the upcoming album just yet, it was recorded at Los Angeles’ Sound City Studios, engineered and mixed by Joseph Lorge (Blake Mills, Perfume Genius), and features contributions from Nathaniel Walcott (Bright Eyes).
