Christian Lee Hutson shares new EP with cover of The Cure's "Just Like Heaven" featuring Shamir
Christian Lee Hutson has released The Version Suicides, Vol. 2 EP, which includes a cover of The Cure's "Just Like Heaven" that features Shamir.
Hutson released The Version Suicides, Vol. 1 in January that included covers of ABBA, Taylor Swift and Vanessa Carlton, and has today (12 March) returned with The Version Suicides, Vol. 2.
The second volume features another three covers, one of which is a cover of The Cure's "Just Like Heaven" that features a dreamy duet with Shamir. Hutson also covers Liz Phair's "Why Can't I" and Bruce Springsteen's "I'm Going Down".
Hutson initially released The Version Suicides, Vol. 4 as part of Bandcamp Friday in August last year, and after getting a positive response he decided to put out Vol. 1 in January.
Last year, I started recording quiet demo versions of songs I like on my phone just to send to friends.
