Chris Stapleton releases cover of Metallica's "Nothing Else Matters"
Chris Stapleton's version of Metallica's "Nothing Else Matters" has been shared today (12 August) from The Metallica Blacklist tribute album.
After Phoebe Bridgers unveiled her "baroque" version of the same Metallica song yesterday (11 August), Chris Stapleton has shared his version of The Black Album track, on the record's 30th anniversary.
The song will feature on The Metallica Blacklist, a tribute album featuring covers by Rina Sawayama, Moses Sumney, Kamasi Washington, IDLES, Flatbush Zombies, Mac DeMarco, PUP, J Balvin and the Neptunes, BackRoad Gee and many more, which will accompany the 30th anniversary version of Metallica's self-titled album, also known as The Black Album.
Since June, the likes of Miley Cyrus, St. Vincent, Sam Fender, Diet Cig and Weezer have released covers from The Metallica Blacklist.
Profits from The Metallica Blacklist will be split evenly between charities of the artist’s choice and Metallica’s All Within My Hands Foundation.
Stapleton is also due to appear on Taylor Swift's Red (Taylor’s Version) album out in November.
