Chlöe Howl explores love and fate on comeback single "Magnetic"
Chlöe Howl returns with "Magnetic", a vibrant new single exploring the notion of free will and fate in relationships.
The 22-year-old Berkshire native has been awfully quiet since 2015's "Bad Dreams" but now makes a spangly step back into the spotlight with a taut R&B excursion that nods to Jessie Ware and advances on Howl's sass-infused offerings of yesteryear. Synths blast and fingers snap on the glossy "Magnetic", which sees Howl add a fragility to her trademark attitude and dive into the expansive sonic territories.

"Magnetic" is part of a new record written and produced with long-time collaborator Chris Zane (Passion Pit, Friendly Fires).
"I wrote 'Magnetic' about those relationships that are endlessly toxic, but you can’t help being pulled back into time and again," explains Howl. "'Magnetic' is about me trying to convince myself that it was down to fate not my own foolish actions."
