Chief Keef sentenced to 20 days in jail after violating parole
After violating the conditions of his parole by testing positive for marijuana, 18 year-old rapper Chief Keef is facing 20 days inside.
Keef, who this year appeared on Kanye West‘s Yeezus, was arrested for speeding in May. He was sentenced to 18 months’ probation and 60 hours’ community service, and to be subject to random drugs tests.
Last August, aged 17 at the time, Keef- real name Keith Cozart- was arrested for cannabis possession whilst driving a stolen Ferrari in Miami Beach. The police report alleges that, when asked if he was carrying any weapons, he replied “I have weed in my right front pocket.”
In September, Keef was found in contempt of court after he failed to attend a child support hearing. If he does not attend another such hearing on 21 October, an arrest warrant may be issued.
Chief Keef released his new mixtape, Almighty So, last week.
