Chicago indie band Ratboys got a Bernie Sanders co-sign
Over the weekend Chicago band Ratboys got a shout out from Bernie Sanders at a campaign rally in Davenport, Iowa.
UPROXX reports that Ratboys vocalist Julia Steiner and fellow bandmate Dave Sagan played an acoustic set at the 2020 US President candidate’s campaign rally in Davenport on Saturday (11 January).
When announcing the set on Twitter, Ratboys wrote, "So incredibly honored and excited to support Bernie’s campaign in person."

On Sunday (12 January), Ratboys woke up to see a video circulating online of Bernie Sanders giving the band a shout out for their support during his campaign. He said in the speech, "let me thank the Ratboys for their music."

Steiner wrote on the band's Twitter that the rally was "the most humbling and hopeful experiences of my life so far."
In another tweet she added, "Bernie spoke for an hour without any notes or prompters. it was srsly so badass. you could tell he spoke from the heart."
