Cher features on new Wu-Tang Clan album
Wu-Tang Clan have always been the best self-publicists, but they’ve really outdone themselves lately. There’s been a heavily-delayed new album, another one limited to just one $5 million copy and much in-fighting between the group in the meanwhile. Now, it’s also been revealed that Cher will feature on one of the two forthcoming LPs.
Just yesterday producer Tarik “Cilvaringz” Azzougarh previewed a cut from that “one-of-a-kind” record to Forbes, hinting that Cher might be on the LP. A representative of the singer then confirmed the news earlier to Rolling Stone, stating that although she has collaborated with the Wu for two tracks on Once Upon A Time in Shaolin, she’s still not actually met RZA and co.
“She recorded her parts separately, so I don’t believe there was direct interaction,” the rep is quoted as saying.
