Charli XCX has never shied away from punk, and this new snotty rendition of Taylor Swift's "Shake It Off" keeps that streak alive.
She even covered Snuffed By The Yakuza’s “Allergic To Love” last year, and while her new cover's not strictly punk, really, it's got the bite and aggression that you'd normally associate with the genre. It sure sounds a lot different from the original, anyway.
The cover was performed in the Radio 1 Live Lounge earlier today (10 February) to rapturous applause.
Sucker is finally out on 16 February via Asylum.
