A new cut from Charli XCX has surfaced. It's called "Gold Coins" and will feature on XCX's upcoming sophomore LP, Sucker.
Using '00s pop-punk axes, the kind that'd feature as American Pie incidentals or in Sum 41 or Puddle Of Mudd, as well as screwy Kero Kero Bonito style synths, XCX crafts a paean to feeling flush. She sings on the chorus of excess and the luxury that most people only dream of: "gold coins everywhere/dollars up in the air/it's a billionaire's love affair."
