Charlotte Church asked to perform at Donald Trump's inauguration
Charlotte Church has been asked to perform at President-elect Donald Trump's inauguration by his woefully misguided party planning committee.
She quickly - and publicly - let them know where to shove that invite.
@realDonaldTrump Your staff have asked me to sing at your inauguration, a simple Internet search would show I think you're a tyrant. Bye
— Charlotte Church (@charlottechurch) January 10, 2017
Church, who's been active in politics for some time now and recently launched her Pub Politics series to try and get more people discussing important issues, recently told The New Statesman that she thinks Trump is "such a tool". Clearly someone at Inauguration HQ didn't do their due diligence.
Charlotte Church is no stranger to the White House, performing for Bill Clinton in '99 and at George W. Bush's inauguration in 2001.
Church has recently been setting venues and festivals alight with her Late Night Pop Dungeon extravaganza - and she headlines the sold-out finale of our new music festival this Friday.
