Charlie Hickey releases new single "Dandelions"
Charlie Hickey has unveiled new track "Dandelions" as the second preview of his debut album Nervous At Night.
"Dandelions" is, in Hickey's own words, "one of the most special songs to me on this album. It’s about a time in my life and in the world that felt very stagnant but at the same time full of rapid change. I think that feeling characterises this time in our world. The world is changing so much but we are becoming increasingly isolated and going further into ourselves as a response. This song is about wanting to break out of that cycle and feel something new."
The new track will appear on Hickey's debut album with last month's lead outing and title-track "Nervous At Night".
Hickey worked on his Nervous At Night album with childhood friend and label boss Phoebe Bridgers, producer Marshall Vore, as well as Harrison Whitford, Christian Lee Hutson and Mason Stoops.
