Charli XCX signs with Select Model Management
Hot on the heels of the release of long-awaited LP Sucker, Charli XCX has signed to Select Model Management.
She joins the likes of Paloma Faith, Kelis, Jess Glynne, Plan B and Tom Odell, and will be a part of the "Women’s Special Bookings division"
Kirsty Reilly, the department's head, said: "We are so excited to have signed Charli XCX to Select Model Management. She has such a cool, fashion-forward look and is so different to anyone else we have on our books. We predict huge things for her in 2015 and we can’t wait to start working with her."
We recently interviewed XCX about her newfound fame and role as a popstar:
"I've always done things like a pop sta... I've always said things that you're not meant to say. I've always worn stuff that most people would never wear. And I've done stuff like make videos with guns and cheerleaders in them. But I think the public only really sees you as a pop star when the Daily Mail starts taking pictures of you on the street, or TMZ wants to ask you silly questions about Taco Bell, which is what happened to me last week."
Sucker is out now on Asylum.
