Our beloved goth-pop Londoner, Charli XCX has sampled our fave Berlin-based miserablist producer, Gold Panda.
‘You’, the new single from Charli, is based largely around GP’s track of the same name.
The singer said the following of her upcoming album, from which the cut is taken:
“Part of the record is super mystical and sparkling, part of it sounds like the internet spewing in your headphones and part of it is like melancholic angels. It’s an angel-pop record. Everything on the album is a pop song, but just twisted in my own magic way.”
