Charli XCX pens song for Britney Spears
Charli XCX, who released her high-flying debut True Romance in April, was recently recruited to write a track for Britney Spears’ next effort.
The singer expressed demonstrable humility in an interview with Digital Spy, saying, ”I’ve been doing some writing for the Britney record. I was freaking out. I didn’t even want to go to the session I was so excited. I was so worried I would fuck it up.”
She added, “I was doing some stuff for that yesterday actually. Who knows how it will go. We’ve written one song and it’s a great track and if she likes it then amazing. It was just an honor to be asked.”
The singer/songwriter, and previous Icona Pop hit-generator, was previously only rumored to be collaborating with Spears.
