Charli XCX says she's beginning to think about album that was in the works before pandemic
Charli XCX has revealed that she's "beginning to think about" her pre-pandemic music, including an album that was already in the works before her 2020 quarantine album.
After linking up with No Rome and The 1975 on "Spinning" last week, Charli XCX has vaguely discussed what she's looking at doing next during an interview with Insider.
According to Insider, Charli XCX revealed she's been tempted to revisit some music made before the COVID-19 pandemic.
The piece with Insider notes that Charli XCX had already started work on her follow up to 2019's Charli before even starting her 2020 quarantine album how i'm feeling now. Charli XCX did reveal in November 2019 that she wanted to release two albums in 2020, and in December 2019 she reiterated that desire by listing making two albums as one of her New Year’s resolutions.
In March 2020, Charli XCX shared that she was "almostttttt finished with the writing process of my next [pre-pandemic] album", adding, "I had one song left to write and then it was all about finishing and prodoction and artwork etc."
Charli XCX told Insider, "I'm sort of beginning to think about that again. There are thoughts that I'm having, and a direction that I'm taking."
