With music-orientated TV offerings slim pickings as of late, Channel 4 have decided to fill the gap in the market with two new music programmes set to pilot later this year.
The first, a quiz format entitled That Music Show, will be presented by Nick Grimshaw, offering both well-known celebrity and musical guests as well as live music performances. The other, Smells Like Friday Night will be hosted by an ensemble of Rizzle Kicks, comedian Rob Beckett and VICE presenter Billie JD Porter.
“These two shows provide us with a great opportunity to put music back on the agenda,” said Head of Formats Dominic Bird. No firm date has yet been given of their broadcast.
