Chance The Rapper shares support for Megan Thee Stallion after shooting incident
Chance The Rapper has shared support for Megan Thee Stallion on Twitter after she claimed Tory Lanez shot her last month.
Last week Megan Thee Stallion claimed that it was Tory Lanez that caused her gunshot wounds in both of her feet. On Saturday (22 August), Chance The Rapper tweeted in support of the Houston rapper, writing, "I hope Meg really gets justice for what Tory did to her. And that we can all learn from this, how near and constant and serious, the threat of lethal violence and abuse is for every Black woman."

And that we can all learn from this, how near and constant and serious, the threat of lethal violence and abuse is for every Black woman.
In July, Megan Thee Stallion revealed she "suffered gunshot wounds", and added that she was "incredibly grateful to be alive". She later revealed that she was shot in both feet, and said she "had to get surgery to get the shit taken out, get the bullets taken out, and it was super scary."
Tory Lanez was arrested shortly after the incident for possession of a concealed weapon in an SUV.
Last week Megan Thee Stallion also revealed why she didn't tell the police about the shooting, "You think I’m about to tell the police that we, us black people, that we’ve got a gun in the car. You want me to tell them we’ve got a gun in the car so they can shoot all of us up ... I didn't tell the police what happened immediately right then because I didn't want to die."
