Chairlift reveal their visuals for latest single "Romeo"
The vid was shot in NYC's Chinatown, and was directed by that go (who also worked with Chairlift on the video for previous single "Ch-Ching"), and stars Kurt Feldman of Ice Choir alongside Chairlift's Caroline Polachek and Patrick Wimberly.
"Romeo" is inspired by the ancient Greek myth of Atalanta, "a heroine abandoned at birth who becomes an excellent runner".
Speaking about the track, Wimberly says that they “started building a groove and it felt like a running beat. Caroline wanted the lyrics to stay true to that idea.”
Polachek adds: “I started studying opera two years ago, and immediately fell in love with Handel. I tried to channel that same stately, baroque feeling in the chorus of Romeo.”
Moth is due out 22 January 2016 on Columbia. It will follow 2012's Something.
