Celebrities are allegedly getting paid to attend Coachella
Must be hard to be a celebrity, right? Not exactly the most stable of incomes, so sometimes you have to give in to brand endorsements. As well as the staple product placement back-handers, it also appears that some famous types are being paid to go to music festivals.
New York Daily News are reporting that companies are targeting “hip” festivals like Coachella for their chosen minions to showcase their products. “Lea Michele will earn a cool $20,000 from Lacoste to wear its clothes while she rocks out to headliners OutKast, Muse and Arcade Fire, while Vanessa Hudgens is being paid $15,000 by McDonald’s to hit the festival,” the article says.
Meanwhile, Breaking Bad’s Aaron Paul is allegedly “asking for $15,000 and at least 2 VIP passes” to attend the event that most people pay hundreds of dollars for.
This may just be hear-say, however. So, until we know for sure, recap on Jimmy Kimmel’s “Lie Witness News” feature at last year’s Coachella:
