Cat Power plays it straight and clean at End of the Road Festival
End of the Road Festival audiences were treated to a stunningly beautiful headline set from Chan Marshall - aka Cat Power - last night.
Bathed in blue light, the Atlanta-born singer-songwriter known for her husky, deeply powerful vocal style sent shivers down the collective spines of all present with her highly accomplished alt-country balladry.
A straightforward, no-nonsense show from an artist known both for heavily rearranging her material and her occasionaly erratic performances, Chan herself appeared in good spirits throughout and although audience interaction was limited, her songs were more than enough to enrapture even the coldest heart.
