Cat Power announces Covers album with reimagined versions of Frank Ocean and The Pogues tracks
Cat Power is back with news of her forthcoming album Covers, and has shared her version of Frank Ocean's "Bad Religion" and The Pogues' "A Pair Of Brown Eyes" to accompany the announcement.
Chan Marshall debuted the reimagined version of Frank Ocean's "Bad Religion" on The Late Late Show with James Corden last night (6 October), and has released the studio version with a cover of The Pogues' "A Pair Of Brown Eyes" today (7 October).
Covers is the third covers album from Cat Power, following 2008's Jukebox and The Covers Record from 2000, and will include Marshall's versions of songs by Nick Cave, Iggy Pop, Jackson Browne, Billie Holiday and more.
The album will follow Cat Power's 2018 album Wanderer.
