Canada's contagious dream pop quartet Dizzy announce debut album
Progressing towards a near euphoric dream pop sound is exactly where Dizzy are headed. Today they've announced their debut album Baby Teeth.
Having dished out singles "Joshua" and majestic "Pretty Thing" earlier this year, the Canadian fourpiece are at the finish line with their first album.
Made up of three brothers and a close school friend, Dizzy have only recently made their UK live debut with two London shows and two performances at this year's Great Escape Festival.
Lead vocalist Katie Munshaw explains more about Baby Teeth, explaining it's, “mostly about my late teen years and the time since. Making music always stemmed from my being overly sensitive about everything. When you’re that close to so many people, you’re bound to meet the characters that screw you up enough to start writing about them. Oshawa introduced me to friendship and heartache and change while keeping me bored enough to sit at home and write about it.”
The fourpiece created the record with Grammy nominated producer Damian Taylor (Bjork, Braids, Arcade Fire) at Golden Ratio Studios in Montréal.
Dizzy will be returning to London at the Omeara on 18 September. Keep updated via their Facebook.
