Bruno Mars and Anderson .Paak's Silk Sonic will perform at the 2021 Grammys
Bruno Mars and Anderson .Paak's campaign to #LetSilkSonicThrive has been successful as the Recording Academy confirmed on Twitter that Silk Sonic will perform at the 2021 Grammys this weekend.
Over the past couple of days Mars and .Paak have been trying to get noticed by the Recording Academy after Mars shared an open letter asking if their collaborative project Silk Sonic could perform at the 2021 Grammys this weekend.
After .Paak joked by asking if BTS needed a drummer because the Recording Academy hadn't yet responded to their request, the Grammys have accepted their request, and have added Silk Sonic as a last-minute addition to their performances taking place at the 2021 ceremony this weekend.
The Recording Academy wrote, "Bruno Mars & Anderson .Paak we have been trying to call you all week. Have you changed your numbers? We would love for #silksonic to make their TV debut at the #GRAMMYs. Are you free this Sunday night? Follow back and we will DM for details."
