Bruce Springsteen announces release date for Western Stars film
Bruce Springsteen has announced the release date for his Western Stars film, as well as confirming the accompanying soundtrack, which will feature a Glen Campbell cover.
Springsteen's film takes the same name as his 2019 album Western Stars.
The film will see Springsteen perform all 13 tracks from the album, while being backed by a full orchestra in his nearly 100-year-old barn.
Having been premiered earlier this month at Toronto's International Film Festival, Springsteen has today announced the release date for the film, and details of the accompanying soundtrack.
Posting the news to Instagram, Springsteen wrote, "Columbia Records will release Western Stars – Songs From The Film on October 25th, featuring each of the live performances captured in Bruce Springsteen’s directorial debut Western Stars. The soundtrack includes every song from Springsteen’s most recent studio album of the same name, as well as a cover of Glen Campbell’s "Rhinestone Cowboy".
