Bronski Beat co-founder Steve Bronski dies aged 61
Steve Bronski, the co-founder of '80s synthpop group Bronksi Beat, has died aged 61.
Bronski's passing was confirmed by he group's lead singer Jimmy Somerville on Twitter this afternoon, who wrote, "Sad to hear Steve Bronski has died. He was a talented and a very melodic man. Working with him on songs and the one song that changed our lives and touched so many other lives, was a fun and exciting time. Thanks for the melody Steve. Jimmy x"

No cause of death has been revealed.
Bronski Beat formed in 1983, and their debut single "Smalltown Boy" became a hit, charting at number three on the UK Singles Chart.
