Broen announce second album with vibrant lead single "Lines"
Norway quintet Broen have announced their second record Do You See the Falling Leaves?, alongside dropping the playful and chaotic lead single "Lines".
"Lines" is the first new offering from Broen since releasing their 2017 debut record I <3 Art.
Speaking about the new track, Broen explain, "We are one with nature - "lines in the sky form a map - it marks my new beginning". Nature feeds us, inspires us, shows us the way. We are lucky to live as a part of it. "What I cannot see is what makes me"."
Vocalist Marianna Røe says of their new album, "We wanted it to have a positive message, but some songs ended up more aggressive than positive. That’s because we wanted to explore what it means to be human in this world and in a capitalistic society, and also the historical aspect of it. Why do we keep making the same mistakes? We also wanted to talk about nature. Some songs use images from nature as metaphors but we also wanted to get into our relationship with nature."
