Brighton's The Great Escape festival moves online for 2021
Organisers of The Great Escape festival, which is usually held in Brighton, have announced today (26 February) that this year's edition will be moving online.
The Great Escape 2021 was due to take place in Brighton from 12-15 May, but today (26 February) it's been announced that the 2021 edition of the festival will be held online.
Organisers wrote in a statement, "We can now confirm that The Great Escape 2021 will no longer be taking place in Brighton this year, however, we will be taking The Great Escape online for the first time."
They also confirmed that the virtual edition of the festival will take place on the same dates (12-15 May). In the statement, organisers also added that on 13 and 14 May, attendees of the virtual festival can expect "a huge snapshot of the best new artists showcasing their talents".
"We'll be back next year in real life on 11th-14th May 2022 and as usual, you will be able to buy a festival ticket or delegate pass," organisers added.
The statement also confirms that The Great Escape ticket holders will be sent a loyalty discount link for the online edition of the festival. Those that have tickets for the 2021 or 2020 edition can choose to roll over their tickets to 2022 or request a refund.
