"I pushed the limits too far": Brass Against singer apologises for urinating on fan during show
Sophia Urista, the singer of Brass Against, has uploaded an apology on socials after urinating on a fan's face during their Welcome to Rockville festival performance last weekend, writing that she "pushed the limits too far".
Last weekend a bizarre video of Brass Against singer Sophia Urista went viral. In the clip, Urista was seen urinating on a willing fan's face during the group's cover of Rage Against The Machine’s "Wake Up" at Welcome to Rockville in Daytona, Florida.
After the band issued a statement on socials writing that Urista "got carried away" during the performance, Daytona Beach police were reportedly investigating the incident, but according to the The Daytona Beach News-Journal, no charged have been filed as they "didn’t actually speak to the reporting party."
Last night (16 November) Urista shared her own statement on socials, apologising for the incident. Urista wrote, "I have always pushed the limits in music and on stage. That night, I pushed the limits too far."
"I love my family, the band, and the fans more than anything and I know that some were hurt or offended by what I did," Urista continued. "I apologize to them and want them to know that I didn't mean to hurt them."
She added, "I am not a shock artist. I always want to put the music first. I'm grateful for all of your continued love and support."
