boygenius to release demos on Bandcamp tomorrow for charity
boygenius, the trio made up of Phoebe Bridgers, Lucy Dacus and Julien Baker, will be releasing demos on Bandcamp tomorrow, and will be donating all proceeds to three charities.
The demos will be available tomorrow (3 July) via Bandcamp, and will only be up on the site for 24 hours.
boygenius' demos release will coincide with Bandcamps' decision to waive its revenue shares for 24 hours to help artists during the coronavirus pandemic.
The tracks consist of voice memo recordings of "Bite The Hand", "Me & My Dog", and "Stay Down", which were recorded the day before boygenius headed into the studio to record their self-titled 2018 EP.
All three demos will see proceeds donated to three charities. Bridgers' charity of choice is the Downtown Women's Center, Dacus' choice of charity is Mutual Aid Disaster Relief Richmond, and Baker has selected OUTMemphis as her charity of choice.
