Boy Azooga drop "Loner Boogie" and detail debut LP 1,2 Kung Fu!
Ragtag Cardiff crew Boy Azooga have announced debut LP 1,2 Kung Fu! and shared haywire lead cut "Loner Boogie".
We've already heard some gloriously weird ear-goop from Boy Azooga in the form of William Onyeabor tribute "Face Behind Her Cigarette", but this long-player will be our first chance to glimpse Davey Newington & Co.'s in the album world.
Boy Azooga and Eddie El Shakarchie (aka Dr. Ed Boogie) co-produced 1,2 Kung Fu!, which was also part recorded in the esteemed doctor's front room.
Toby Cameron created the visuals for "Loner Boogie", with Newington explaining: "It's a scary world out there these days, sometimes you don't want to go outside. Sometimes you get the Loner Boogie. Follow us into the Cardiff Transport Club for some fish-eye Kung Fu and a Guiness with the legendary Kliph Scurlock. Not sure he's that into it to be honest though."
Boy Azooga play a lengthy list of live dates in the coming months, including a stretch with Magic Gang in March and their own headline jaunt in April and May. Find out more.
