Born Ruffians announce companion album to JUICE with two lead songs
Born Ruffians are back with details of SQUEEZE, the companion record to JUICE, and have released "30th Century War" and "Albatross" as the lead tracks.
JUICE was only released in April, but yesterday (26 August) Born Ruffians returned with news of their second album of 2020, SQUEEZE. The album announcement is accompanied by two tracks - "30th Century War", and the closing song "Albatross".
The tracks that feature on both JUICE and SQUEEZE were written before the coronavirus pandemic, some of them dating back to recording sessions with the late Richard Swift for their 2018 LP Uncle, Duke & The Chief. Luke Lalonde of the band says, "We left with nine or ten songs and ended up putting that out as Uncle, Duke & The Chief but also had this whole other group of songs that we wanted to do. We got in touch with Graham Walsh of Holy Fuck in Toronto and began recording with him, also without really knowing what we were doing. We were just recording because we had songs. And that’s what ended up becoming JUICE and SQUEEZE."
