Bonzai is buried as Cosha is born, arriving at full speed with new track "Do You Wanna Dance"
At just 22 years old, Cosha is leaving Bonzai behind after her last Mura Masa collaboration, and is instead branching out with a new name.
New track "Do You Wanna Dance" continues with her R&B infused vocals, and also explores fragmentation in the melody further as she takes on her new role.
Collaborating with producer Rostam (Frank Ocean, Solange, HAIM), Cosha's first track was debuted as Annie Mac's Hottest Record on BBC Radio 1 last night (24 May).
Speaking about her new direction, Cosha explained, “I'm choosing to use the phonetic pronunciation of my real name to represent the faith I have in the new songs and direction. Reinvention is my way of drawing a line between what's come before and what's to come now. And to anyone that's been on this journey with me so far, thank you sincerely. I hope to have you on this new journey with me too.”
