Bobby Womack working with Stevie Wonder, Snoop Dogg, Rick Ross & more
Bobby Womack is currently preparing the follow-up to 2012 LP The Bravest Man In The Universe, revealing a list of exciting guest stars for the record.
The 69 year old soul legend has told Okayplayer that the likes of Stevie Wonder, Snoop Dogg, Rod Stewart and R&B group LeVert will feature on the release.
As well as this, Womack is also collaborating with Rick Ross for the rapper’s upcoming album, Mastermind. On that, the singer said: “He reached back to something he felt from my records and it was great. I was very surprised with that because it’s embarrassing sometimes, you know, when I have to ask my son (whispers): Who’s Rick Ross? –and he’s like, Daddy he’s one of the hottest rappers out here—not ‘one of the’, the hottest rapper out here! And I say: Ok, I didn’t know. I think sometimes its better not to know, you know.”
The musician’s upcoming record is expected during 2014. Womack was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease earlier this year.
