Bobby Womack releases statement regarding Alzheimer's diagnosis
Soul legend Bobby Womack has released a statement to fans following his recent health problems.
Womack revealed earlier this week that doctors have diagnosed him with Alzheimer’s disease, stating that he’s at the onset of the illness.
But now the singer has addressed fans concerning his dementia.
He writes in a statement released online:
“Thanks to all of my fans for their prayers and well wishes. I truly appreciate and can feel your love. With the support of many good doctors, my family, and all of my wonderful fans, I will continue to write and perform and bring the good music to the people for as long as I can.”
The 68 year-old released his latest album The Bravest Man In The Universe last year and is already working on its follow-up.
