Bo Ningen close End of the Road's opening night with a Lot of Fucking Noise
Closing the first night of End of the Road in typically scintillating fashion, Bo Ningen brought forth the gods of psychedelic rock and almost tore the Tipi Tent from its foundations.
The perfect riposte to those who still see the festival as a bastion of bearded men with acoustic guitars, the London-based Japanese four-piece may have added the odd mellow track to their repertoire over the years, but their main stock in trade is maximum riffage, and that they delivered in spades.
The chaos culminated with frontman Taigen climbing down to the crash barrier to deliver some close-contact guitar riffage, before stripping off atop a speaker stack whilst Yuki Tsujii whirled his guitar around in a health-and-safety unconscious manner. It may not have been your typical EOTR moment, but it was certainly a memorable one.
