Blur to record new album this week, says Damon Albarn
Blur’s Damon Albarn revealed over the weekend that his band will attempt to record a new album over the next week.
Speaking to a live crowd at their AsiaWorld-Expo gig, the frontman said “So we have a week in Hong Kong, and we thought it would be a good time to try and record another record.” This follows the announcement that the band had cancelled a handful of upcoming Japanese dates that had previously been planned for that week.
Blur initially reformed in 2008, after five years apart. They have released one new single in the form of ‘Under the Westway’. The possible new LP would be the band’s first since 2003′s Think Tank.
