Blur rule themselves out of headlining Glastonbury
Though increasingly mentioned on the rumour circuit, Blur will not be snapping up the final Glastonbury 2015 headline slot, drummer Dave Rowntree confirms.
When asked about taking slot during an interview on XFM, Rowntree said they would definitely not be.
The Britpop legends will release their first record in 16 years as a foursome, The Magic Whip, on 27 April via Parlophone. Despite not headlining Glastonbury, they will be headlining Hyde Park in June.
The headliners confirmed so far are the Foo Fighters on Friday night, and Kanye "not a proper rock band" West on Saturday.
Other acts scheduled to appear include Lionel Richie, the Dalai Lama, Father John Misty and Courtney Barnett.
