Bloodhound Gang kicked out of Russia after bassist stuffs flag down trousers
U.S comedy-rock group, the Bloodhound Gang have been barred from Russia after one of its members recently shoved a flag of the country down his pants in an onstage stunt.
Bass player Jared Hasselhoff was filmed stuffed the Russian flag down his trousers at a recent show in the Ukrainian city of Odessa, exclaiming “Don’t tell Putin!”, before pulling it out the other side.
The band had been booked to play at the Kubana festival in Russia this week, but have now been banned from the event following the intervention of Russia’s Culture Minister Vladimir Medinsky.
Medinsky took to Twitter to describe the band as “idiots”, writing: “Bloodhound Gang is packing its bags. These idiots will not perform in Kuban.”
The band’s frontman Jimmy Pop seemed to disagree with his bandmate’s action, telling the crowd shortly afterwards: “Unfortunately Russia is better than America, so I disapprove of that because America sucks”.
