
Bloc Party, Mogwai, and The Flaming Lips to headline Festival No. 6
Festival No. 6 has announced a huge list of names for its 2017 event, with The Flaming Lips, Mogwai, and Bloc Party set to headline.
The Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra and the Bootleg Beatles will also be performing an extra-special 50th anniversary tribute to Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band.
Other major highlights include Wild Beasts, Laura Mvula, Arab Strap, The Cribs, Kate Tempest, James Vincent McMorrow, Klangstof, PINS, Formation, Vaults, Honeyblood, TOY, Steve Mason, The Cinematic Orchestra, Hercules & Love Affair, Mary Anne Hobbs, and loads more.
Charlotte Church's utterly fantastic Late Night Pop Dungeon will also be letting loose at the end-of-summer bash.
Carnival No. 6 returns, and there will also be film, poetry, spoken word, discussions/conversations/lectures, dance, workshops, and loads more at the festival.
"It’s a very special year for us as we’re celebrating our sixth birthday and we’re marking the occasion by really going back to our roots," says founder Gareth Cooper. "It has to be our most diverse bill to date with amazing artists from across the globe packing every stage, from the woods to the main stage – it’s going to be incredible."
