Blanck Mass unveils vicious new cut "Love Is a Parasite"
Blanck Mass is back with gritty new cut "Love Is a Parasite", the third single to be released from his upcoming album Animated Violence Mild.
"Love Is a Parasite" follows on from earlier singles "No Dice" and "House vs. House".
The new single arrives with a retro-tinged visual directed by Craig Murray. Speaking about the video, Benjamin John Power, aka Blanck Mass says, "I wanted to speak to Craig Murray about making the "...Parasite" video as his work definitely bridges that gap between the grotesque and the beautiful that I am so keen on. Presenting the darker theme of global mass consumerism whilst poking fun at the '80s and starring a Drag Queen overseeing chaos wasn't going to be an easy task but he nailed it."
Power's new record Animated Violence Mild follows on from his reworking of Editors' 2018 album Violence.
Expanding on his new album, Power said, "In this post-industrial, post-enlightenment religion of ourselves, we have manifested a serpent of consumerism which now coils back upon us. It seduces us with our own bait as we betray the better instincts of our nature and the future of our own world. We throw ourselves out of our own garden. We poison ourselves to the edges of an endless sleep."
