Blanck Mass gives us all the "Silent Treatment"
Blanck Mass has shared "Silent Treatment", the second single from upcoming album World Eater.
This new cut brandishes much less mayhem than lead single "Please", but it's still very much not an actual 'silent treatment' - Benjamin John Power's taken a buzzsaw to choral samples, slicing up voices and jamming them back together in a different way above crystalline synths.
Speaking about the single, Power says: "'Silent Treatment' is about the problems that arise when we don't communicate. We often grow apart when we don't understand each other. Being left in the dark can lead to fear."
The Fuck Buttons member says of the LP: “Being surrounded by so much hate in the world right now throws a whole new light on the importance of love. I have never set out to make a protest record. I’ve never set out to make any kind of record really, but during the creative process for this and any of my past releases I start to form a bond with the project as we grow together."
