black midi release anthology featuring four short stories and instrumentals
black midi have released a new collection of stories and instrumentals on Bandcamp titled The Black Midi Anthology Vol.1: Tales of Suspense and Revenge.
The Black Midi Anthology Vol.1: Tales of Suspense and Revenge is the first new release from the band since February's "Sweater".
black midi's anthology is released on Bandcamp today as part of the company's artist appreciation day, and features four short stories written by Ernest Hemmingway, Edgar Allan Poe, Robert Tressell and Guy De Maupassant, read by different members of the band.
The stories are accompanied by instrumentals by black midi, and the tracks have also been added onto the anthology as separate recordings, the longest of which runs for just under 25 minutes.
The instrumentals, which they call "jams", are produced by Dan Carey and engineered by Alexis Smith.
All proceeds from the anthology will go directly to black midi. The band have also released a limited re-run of a t-shirt, and all funds from the t-shirt sales will go to "organisations that support BLM protesters and the wider movement."
