Black Honey share foreboding new cut "Disinfect"
Black Honey have shared new single "Disinfect", which arrives as the fifth taster of the band's second album Written & Directed.
"Disinfect" follows last month's "Believer" single, and is teamed with a Craig Hemming-directed video showing clips of protests and explosions, urging the viewer to face the reality of our world.
Lead vocalist Izzy B. Phillips says, ""Disinfect" to me is like watching the school bus burn down. We wrote it before the pandemic but it feels like a premonition of things to come."
Written & Directed will follow the band's 2018 self-titled debut album. Black Honey wrote their second album last year and recorded it between touring commitments.
Phillips says of the LP, "I made this record for young women to feel invincible."
