Black Country, New Road and black midi cover Bruce Springsteen during Windmill Brixton fundraiser
Last night saw Black Country, New Road and black midi join forces as black midi, New Road for a fundraising gig in support of the Windmill Brixton venue, and they covered Bruce Springsteen.
black midi, New Road shared their collaborative pre-recorded livestream yesterday (10 December) from The Windmill in Brixton, which is currently in Music Venue Trust's red zone along with 29 other grassroots music venues across the UK.
As well as performing original music and improvised material, the two bands covered Bruce Springsteen's "Born To Run", Coldplay's "The Scientist", CeeLo Green's "Forget You", Led Zeppelin's "Immigrant Song" and a couple of Christmas covers.
This week as second wave of musicians, photographers and independent labels including Liam Gallagher and La Roux donated items to an auction raising funds for the Windmill Brixton venue.
