Björk and David Attenborough team up for new Channel 4 documentary
You’re not dreaming that headline – wildlife broadcaster David Attenborough and Icelandic avant-popstar Björk really are joining forces to investigate how humans and animals interact with music in a new Channel 4 documentary.
Attenborough & Bjork: The Nature Of Music was originally inspired by Björk’s Biophilia album concept, and sees the unlikely pairing presenting the documentary that looks at the evolution of music around the world.
Surprisingly, this won’t be the couple’s first collaboration together. Attenborough has previously provided a spoken-word introduction to Björk’s Biophilia project when it was first presented at Manchester International Festival in 2011.
The new show, directed by Louise Hopper and produced by the people behind the LCD Soundsystem documentary, will air this Saturday (July 27) at 7pm as part of the channel 4’s Mad4Music season.
